11 Jul Event Coverage: Ignite Race #4 Recap
Ignite Junior featured close battles all afternoon. Evan Stamer was able to take the win and extend his points lead but Hailey Todtenhaupt was not far behind finishing her career best second place. Newcomer Anthony Noto surprised his competetors by achieving lap times in the 35 second bracket in only his first race! He’ll be the one to watch out for by the end of the year.
In Kid Karts, Austin Todtenhaupt was able to claim his third consecutive win finishing 16.8 seconds ahead of second place Lane Mayer.
It was a hard fought battle for Seth Gordon in the Master’s feature. Stuck behind lapped traffic, Seth had newcomer Mark Schwigen closing in upon the white flag. Seth was able to get around the two lappers and defeated Mark by 0.2 seconds, claiming his first win at the Kartplex.
Ignite Senior saw fierce battles, three wide and two wide was a common theme throughout the race. Colten Dudici was able to take his first win of the year, passing Ryan Bettenhausen with only a few laps to go. The top 10 competitor’s fastest laps were within 0.5 seconds of each other proving to be the most competitive field thus far.
Dane Sensel put on a clinic in Ignite Rookie, defeating the field by 13.5 seconds with Cameron Myers and Reid Sweeny Rounding out the podium.
