CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD
The winner in both Light and Heavy classes of the iDrive Championship Shootout will receive the use of a new Margay Ignite K3 kart at no charge provided by Margay Racing for use in the 2019 Gateway Kartplex Ignite series. Other awards may be added.

CLASS STRUCTURE
Light Class: driver weight is 140 – 189lbs
Heavy Class: driver weight is 190+lbs
*Drivers will weigh in prior to the event. Classes compete on track separately.
**Drivers must be 16+ years old. Exception waiver available from Race Director for non race series participants with prior permission.
**No external weight is allowed without prior permission of the Race Director. (vest, ankle, etc).
RACE FORMAT (PER NIGHT)
One 5 minute qualifying session
Two 12 lap feature races, standing starts.
Drivers will stay in their karts and be gridded for race 1 immediately after their qualifying session.
*Drivers will utilize the same kart each nights qualifying and for race 1 but may be in different karts for race 2 and on other dates. Karts will be assigned randomly by draw. Karts will be gridded for Race 1 based on qualifying times, Race 2 grid may be started ‘straight-up’ based on race 1 results or may be inverted at the race directors discretion. Yellow flag laps will be counted toward race distance.
POINTS STRUCTURE
Each series will consist of 14 races on 7 event dates. A driver will count their best 10 out of 14 results towards the series points championship.
SERIES AWARDS
First- $100 Kartplex credit + Ignite demo test session + trophy or plaque
Second- $50 Kartplex credit + Ignite demo test session + trophy or plaque
Third- Ignite demo test session + trophy or plaque
Top 10 drivers that compete in 4 or more events are invited back to the season ending iDrive Championship Shootout on Saturday, October 27th as part of season ending Round 11 of the Ignite series. There is no entry fee for the Championship event. The winner of the iDrive Championship Shootout will be the iDrive Scholarship Winner and will receive the use of a new Margay Ignite K3 kart at no charge for use in the 2019 Gateway Kartplex Ignite series provided by Margay Racing.
***The iDrive Series was created as the beginning rung of our racing ladder system. iDrive was developed for the general public to experience an affordable racing series on an even playing field. All racers are welcome to compete in the weekly series and can participate in the Spring and Fall Series awards. However in the spirit and intent of the iDrive program, the following list of racers are NOT ELIGIBLE to compete in the season-ending iDrive Shootout and therefore NOT ELIGIBLE for the iDrive Scholarship Award provided by Margay Racing:
- *Kartplex and Margay Employees.
- *Previous iDrive Series Scholarship Winners.
- *Current racers that have competed in 3 Ignite or SuperComp Racing Series Events in the last 12 months.
