Gateway Kartplex Builds Champion Drivers!
What did your kids do last weekend? Well our kids were tearing it up across the country!
Congratulations to the young guns from the Gateway Kartplex that were competing from coast to coast and in Canada.
First up Cam Myers. Cam (multi class Kartplex champion) at the ripe old age of 10 won his first Route 66 National event Saturday at New Castle Motorsports Park outside of Indianapolis in the Micro Swift TaG 60 class. Cam went on to finish 2nd in Sunday’s event.
Evan Stamer age 16 (multi time Kartplex champion) made his debut at New Castle in the brand new KA100 class. Evan, in untested equipment, recorded a 5th and 11th place finish respectively in a field of 27 top drivers.
Gage Rucker age 16 (Kartplex stud) went to sunny California to race a Midget and Sprint car at the famed Ventura Raceway. He lost the opportunity to compete in the midget as they lost a motor. He finished 5th in the 30 lap main in the fire breathing sprint car.
Spike Kohlbecker age 15 (Kartplex hot shoe) was in Canada testing a F1600 formula car with the Exclusive Autosport based in Edmonton. Spike was consistently in the top 3 and P1 in the rain. Spike will be a force to deal with this summer in the Canadian F1600 series.
